A wedding at Grace

“AND GOD BLESSED THEM...” (Genesis 1:28)

Congratulations! You are planning to wed – to enter into a relationship which God has ordained for the perpetuation and happiness of God’s people. Through the ages God has continued to bless in marriage those who enter it with prayer and live in it by faith.

Kindred welcomes non-member weddings, but recognizes that people of other faith traditions may not be familiar with our expectations for the wedding service. While there is much room for flexibility in your wedding, we do have a few guidelines to make the process run smoothly.  For a copy of the guidelines, please email us at office@KindredMontrose.org.

A wedding is the ceremony in which a couple exchanges their covenantal vows and ask for God’s blessing and presence in their life together. On May 22, 2005, by vote of the congregation of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, the congregation adopted a policy stating that “The blessing of same-gender unions may be performed at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Grace’s wedding guidelines will apply equally to all gender combinations.”

We have a very simple a la carte fee structure.  A basic wedding costs $945 and includes use of the sanctuary for both the wedding and rehearsal and use of two suites of rooms (both including restrooms) on the day of the wedding for the wedding parties.  All weddings will be assigned a liaison from the church who will attend the rehearsal and wedding and assist with the use of the facility.

Kindred's pastor, Rev. Ashley Dellagiacoma, may be available to conduct the wedding for an additional fee. Kindred welcomes other officiants, however Pastor Dellagiacoma will need to speak with any outside officiant regarding expectations for weddings conducted at Kindred.

Our fellowship hall and generously apportioned church kitchen are also available for rent for your reception or other events.

If you're interested in having your wedding at Kindred please call the office at 713-528-3269 or e-mail office@KindredMontrose.org and we'll set up a time for you to tour the building.
