Reconciling Works 2012 "All this is from God, who reconciled us through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation." —2 Corinthians 5:18 Reconciling Works 2012 is more than a conference. It is an opportunity to explore and live out the work of reconciliation that we are called to do. Justice requires reconciliation, and reconciliation takes effort. Throughout our time together, we will work on justice issues from the intersection of oppressions (racism, sexism, ablism, etc.) and through the lens of full participation of people of all sexual orientations and gender identities in the life of the Lutheran Church

About Kindred

Kindred is a way of life. It’s not something you “go to,” it’s something you are a part of.

We believe that God is on the move in Montrose, in the greater Houston area, and beyond. We want to join in. It’s that simple. The implications of following Jesus are complex, but the church doesn’t have to be complicated. We get to join God in the creation of a community that equips and empowers people to love as we have been loved, to recognize the divine in the daily, and to be a light for justice and peace in our sacred city.

We are a ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and we are a “Reconciling in Christ” community (a formal way of saying that people of all races, genders, gender identities, abilities, sexual orientations, fashion sense, and political leanings are not only welcome, but embraced).
