Reformation and All that Jazz 2011

Jazz Trio‘Reformation and All That Jazz,” an evening of fellowship, dinner, and dancing featuring Jazz Sunday! Will be held Friday, October 28th from 6:30-10 pm at the Cadillac Grill, 1802 Shepherd, in Houston. Event proceeds will support the ministries of the Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod.

Jazz Sunday began leading jazz worship services in 1990 at Christ Lutheran Church in Lake Jackson, Texas. Since that time they have led jazz worship services and performed concerts in Texas and throughout the country including the 2006 Episcopal General Convention in Columbus, Ohio.

Their repertoire includes jazz accompaniments of traditional hymns; special instrumental arrangements of hymns and spirituals for use as prelude, anthem, offertory, communion and postlude; and original compositions for jazz worship. Jazz Sunday has released four compact discs with "Rejoice and Sing!" being their most recent.

Each congregation is encouraged to donate a themed basket (for example, a wine basket, movie themed basket, be creative!) to be auctioned at the event. Grace is seeking volunteers and donors to help us put together the most fabulous basket at the event! Contact Pastor Steve Quill at sdquill@comcast.net for more information.

Tickets are$35. visit http://www.gulfcoastsynod.org/Events.html to purchase tickets or to make a donation in honor of someone/an organization for the event.
